The Mission:

The Light of God releasing ministries that bring transformation, deliverance, recovery and reconciliation.  Meeting the unique physical and spiritual needs of this gathering of people.  Nurturing disciples through the Word, establishing solid foundations of active faith with a vision to proclaim the world "New Life" through the gospel of Jesus Christ. - Luke 4:18

Luke 4:18  - "The Spirit of the Lord is upon Me, Because He has anointed Me To preach the gospel to the poor; He has sent Me to heal the brokenhearted, To proclaim liberty to the captives And recovery of sight to the blind, To set at liberty those who are oppressed.

In God's Power and Love Touch, Reach and Impact the World."

The vision statement was inspired by a vision given to the church:

We fullfill the call by walking in His anointing to bring:

Trans-for-ma-tion: "the state or act of being transformed, a change in form, appearance, nature or character"
Change is all around us in our fast world. But not always for the better.  God is constant and able to bring us positive spiritual and physical transformation (change).  We believe that transformation is the process of death and re-birth.  Jesus cancels our sin when we accept him in our life. We are re-born new and he transforms our mess for his glory.  A process that happens over and over when we submit each area of our lives to him. He transforms us so that in our weaknesses we become strong in HIM.
(Luke 4:18-20, Romans 12:2, Philippians 3:20-21, Galatians 2:20, 2Corn 5:17)

De-liv-er-ance: "Liberation from spiritual and physical bondages"
Real life is full of things that weigh us down (bondages).  We believe in the Holy Spirit's power to bring freedom, healing, and peace; both physically and spiritually. (Luke 4:18; Matthew 8:16 & 17)

Heal-ing: "the act or process of regaining health in body and mind"

Body, mind, and spirit can have pain, wounds, and diseases in this difficult world we live in everyday.  We believe in the present-day active power of God to heal, even in this technologically advanced world.  There is none greater than Him.  God is not limited in His ability or methods  to heal.  HIS desire for us is to be healthy and whole. (Mark 16:17-18, Luke 9:6, Luke 9:11, Luke 5:17)

Re-cov-er-y: "regaining something lost or taken away"
We've all lost relationships, love, health, finances, treasured pets, jobs,  possessions, etc.  We are convinced God restores, replenishes, and refills our needs, not always in the same way as before but always according to HIS (God) knowledge of what is best for us.
(Luke 4:18-20, Isaiah 58:8, Isaiah 61:1, Jeremiah 33:6)

Reconcilation: "to change, exchange" to change from enmity to friendship, to reconcile."
Relationships get stressed, strained and severed in the world we live in both with people and with God. We believe in the power of God, the Holy Spirit to bring restoration and healing, even in the most hostile divisions. God first showed us this (by example) while we were sinners He sent Jesus Christ to reconcile us to Him by taking on our sins. God's example shows us through Him an active relationship can be restored with HIM and carried thru to each other. (Romans 5:10, John 3:16, 2Cor 5:18-19, Ephe 2:16, Colo. 1:20)

Lib-er-ty:"the state of being free from the control or power of another"
We believe in the power of God by His Holy Spirit to set people free from sin and from such things as emotional anxiety, spiritual anguish, the effects of physical abuse and addictions.
(Isaiah 61:1, John 8:36, Romans 8:31, 2 Corn 3:17)

Spir-it-u-al Needs: "a necessity pertaining to the spirit or soul as distinguished from the physical nature." Our spiritual needs are very different than the needs of our physical bodies".  Our spiritual needs include salvation, love, nurturing growth, forgiveness, affirmation, inner peace, and fellowship with God and man.  We believe that the most important thing our spirit needs is a relationship with God. Fellowship with Him has been hardwired like a homing device into our spiritual DNA. The only way our spiritual needs can be met is through an active relationship with God. (Galatian 5:22 & 23, Isaiah 26:3, John 3:16, Romans 3:23, Romans 6:23, Romans 10:9 & 10).

Phys-i-cal Needs: "a necessity pertaining to the basic requirements of the physical body." Our bodies need food, shelter, clothing, and safety. We believe God instructs us to help the widow, orphans and those who are truely needy. In addition to temporarily meeting physical needs, our goal is to empower those in need with a hand up. This can help to break the cycle of poverty through empowerment towards self sufficiency and ultimately to prosper. (Matthew 25:31-40, James 1:27).

Disciples: "one who accepts and assists in spreading the doctrines of another"
We are lifelong learners both in regular life and our spiritual life. We will be purposefully taught either by direct learning or by constant exposure to things in the world around us. We believe in following the example of Jesus Christ and obeying Him by teaching  and training each person in the Word of God and showing Jesus by loving one another as He loves us.

(John 13:34&35, Matt 10:1, Matt 28:19)

Foundations of Faith: "A basic principle upon which something stands in belief, trust and loyalty to God" We believe in 4 core scriptural foundations of truth:  1. Jesus was concieved by the Holy Spirit and born of a virgin. He was sent by God to die for all the sins of mankind, past, present and future, which unlocked and brought salvation to us. He rose from the dead and is seated at the right hand of God. We believe that our deliverance from sin comes only through accepting Jesus Christ as Lord and savior of our lives.  2. We believe divine healing (deliverance from sickness) is provided for by Jesus' death and resurection and that it is available to all.  3.  We believe that there is an experience separate and subsequent to salvation called the Baptisim of the Holy Spirit. All believers are entitled to and should seek and expect this unique and intimate, spiritually awakening and empowering experience. It provides specific  spiritual gifts for more effective living and ministry.  4. We believe in the second coming of Christ, because HE said so.

Active Faith: " Engaging in purposful energetic action based on belief in God" We believe that our faith in God should be worked out in "acts of random kindness" for other people including helping the needy, comforting the grieving, counseling the traumatized, encouraging one another, praying for the sick, feeding the hungry, etc. etc...(Matt. 25: 31-40, James 1: 27, James 2: 14-22, 26, 1 John 3: 17-19)

Proclaim New Life: " to declare or show the different quality of life in Christ."
This life is the highest and best which we possess as saints of God. Saints refer to those that believe. The old, tainted, and feeble is replaced with that which is newer, better, the best and abundant because God has made this new gift available to each of us. We just have to choose to accept this gift and live accordingly. Life begins, for the physical man at conception. as we enter this world God breaths life into us at birth, as He did when He created Adam. We believe new life for our spirit man happens just as miraculously when we simply choose to ask Jesus to forgive our sin and be in charge of our lives. (John 10:10, Psalms 1:1-3, 1 Corinthians 15:22, Galations 2:20, Titus 3:5, 1 Peter 1:23)

Statement of Beliefs:

These are nonnegotiable tenets of faith that all Assemblies of God churches adhere to. This list is derived from the official Statement of Fundamental Truths. Click links below to see the complete original statement with scriptures.

  1. WE BELIEVE...The Scriptures are Inspired by God and declare His design and plan for mankind.

  2. WE BELIEVE...There is only One True God–revealed in three persons...Father, Son, and Holy Spirit (commonly known as the Trinity).

  3. WE BELIEVE...In the Deity of the Lord Jesus Christ. As God's son Jesus was both human and divine.

  4. WE BELIEVE...though originally good, Man Willingly Fell to Sin–ushering evil and death, both physical and spiritual, into the world.

  5. WE BELIEVE...Every Person Can Have Restored Fellowship with God Through 'Salvation' (accepting Christ's offer of forgiveness for sin). [1 of 4 cardinal doctrines of the A/G]

  6. WE BELIEVE...and practice two ordinances—(1) Water Baptism by Immersion after repenting of one's sins and receiving Christ's gift of salvation, and (2) Holy Communion (the Lord's Supper) as a symbolic remembrance of Christ's suffering and death for our salvation.

  7. WE BELIEVE...the Baptism in the Holy Spirit is a Special Experience Following Salvation that empowers believers for witnessing and effective service, just as it did in New Testament times. [1 of 4 cardinal doctrines of the A/G]

  8. WE BELIEVE... The Initial Physical Evidence of the Baptism in the Holy Spirit is ‘Speaking in Tongues,’ as experienced on the Day of Pentecost and referenced throughout Acts and the Epistles.

  9. WE BELIEVE...Sanctification Initially Occurs at Salvation and is not only a declaration that a believer is holy, but also a progressive lifelong process of separating from evil as believers continually draw closer to God and become more Christlike.

  10. WE BELIEVE...The Church has a Mission to seek and save all who are lost in sin. We believe 'the Church' is the Body of Christ and consists of the people who, throughout time, have accepted God's offer of redemption (regardless of religious denomination) through the sacrificial death of His son Jesus Christ.

  11. WE BELIEVE...A Divinely Called and Scripturally Ordained Leadership Ministry Serves the Church. The Bible teaches that each of us under leadership must commit ourselves to reach others for Christ, to worship Him with other believers, and to build up or edify the body of believers–the Church.

  12. WE BELIEVE...Divine Healing of the Sick is a Privilege for Christians Today and is provided for in Christ's atonement (His sacrificial death on the cross for our sins). [1 of 4 cardinal doctrines of the A/G]

  13. WE BELIEVE...in The Blessed Hope—When Jesus Raptures His Church Prior to His Return to Earth (the second coming). At this future moment in time all believers who have died will rise from their graves and will meet the Lord in the air, and Christians who are alive will be caught up with them, to be with the Lord forever. [1 of 4 cardinal doctrines of the A/G]

  14. WE BELIEVE...in The Millennial Reign of Christ when Jesus returns with His saints at His second coming and begins His benevolent rule over earth for 1,000 years. This millennial reign will bring the salvation of national Israel and the establishment of universal peace.

  15. WE BELIEVE...A Final Judgment Will Take Place for those who have rejected Christ. They will be judged for their sin and consigned to eternal punishment in a punishing lake of fire.

  16. WE BELIEVE...and look forward to the perfect New Heavens and a New Earth that Christ is preparing for all people, of all time, who have accepted Him. We will live and dwell with Him there forever following His millennial reign on Earth. 'And so shall we forever be with the Lord!'
